| CityRail Will Arrive This May!!!! |
When PacificTrainz launched CityRail in late 2010,many were excited about how the finished product might be. Unfortunately TRS2006 is no longer being used for product offerings and content won't be made for anything less than TS2009.
Now though, PacificTrainz has announced that CityRail will be available for download this May. While the original plan was to launch off the Beta version in 2012, the support for TRS2006 would have been long gone.
So a new version will emerge with new plans for a new route. Although the Beta version will have a finalized version, it won't arrive until sometime in 2012.
The new CityRail is 30 miles of transit connections running from station to station or even city center to city center. A mainline will stretch about 20 miles and have three station stops along the way. On the sub-lines, there will be multiple stops for other trains.
The mainline will allow trains to run up to 60mph, and most of it is elevated rail. The sub lines will stretch distances of 10 miles overall.
A sequel to this route will be CityRail II. It will extend Eastward of the Northern terminal for an extra 12 miles of railroads.
CityRail will be a passenger only route.
PacificTrainz's new route coastal commuter will also be a succesor to the originally planned CityRail II, which would add 62 miles of commuter lines. This route will arrive by years end.
The Beta version of city rail will be upgraded to comply with TS2009 and later. But the second beta won't arrive till this Summer. |
