| NBA 2K19's Approach Settles Down |
The microtransactions could be ignored, at least, when in business mode, one of those few parts of NBA 2K19 MT coins in which VC isn't available.
On the court, various tweaks are still improve NBA 2K's simulation of basketball. Shots utilize a sharp new timing meter, and in NBA 2K19, the difference between open and contested shots is suitably significant. Any defender's hand in the area is likely to ship a jumper off course.
At default settings, fresh AI tweaks allow the opposing crime to maintain possession organically, using the shot clock to operate the ball around. Not only does this seem natural, but the days of playing only six-minute quarters for sensible results have passed. I stuck to nine to 10 minutes per quarter to generate realistic scores at default configurations, inching nearer to the full 12 minutes of a real game.
To further add to the feeling of realism, NBA 2K19 is totally gorgeous in motion. Even excluding the leading HDR support, tweaks to character models and textures bring out myriad smallish details. Beards look better than anyplace else.
Additionally, a brand new production bundle is in place this season, from pregame national anthems to hilarious bits from the studio group of Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith. The group's character models require a do-over, but their interactions remain natural.
